Activity Based Funding Conference

Susan is the Director, Activity Based Management for New South Wales Health but is an ICU Nurse at heart. She now enjoys translating activity based management (ABM)/ activity based funding to clinicians and managers and negotiating the funding model with the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority and Administrator. She holds a Masters of Clinical Nursing and a Masters of Public Health.

Susan moved from clinical nursing to the realms of Casemix at Westmead Hospital before working through multiple re-inventions of Local Health Districts. Susan left Western Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains LHDs in 2012 where she was Director, Performance Management and Reporting to join the Activity Based Funding Taskforce now known as Activity Based Management in 2012.

ABM’s development of specialised online tools such as the ABM Portal have allowed Susan to seamlessly continue clinical and cost variation with Clinicians, Managers and other interested personnel.
