Martina is an Expert in the Field, Development and Analysis, Zavod za Zdravstveno Zavarovanje Slovenije (ZZZS or Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia). She focuses on the development of payment models in healthcare, manages the DRG project "Establishing a comprehensive management of the DRG system" and leading ZZZS’ team in the international Joint Action (JA) on implementation of digitally enabled integrated person-centred care (JADECARE), an initiative for the transformation of health and care in the EU.

Previously she was a consultant at the Information Center of the ZZZS, where she managed the national health insurance card system and working on development projects such as “national eHealth project”, “portal for insured persons”, “electronic exchange of billing data ” and “introduction of the electronic statements on organ donation”. She has also managed the Slovenian part of several international (EU) projects on easier access to health services and information.

Martina has written several articles, which were published in Slovene periodicals, on the DRG project, Health insurance card and professional card system, eHealth solutions in Slovenia, international cooperation in the field of eServices for patients and personal information protection.
