Jody Currie

Biography
Jody is a Mununjahli Yugambeh person with traditional ties to Country between the Logan and Tweed rivers. She is a Professor of Indigenous Practice at the Queensland University of Technology. She has over 20 years’ experience in health, housing and human service delivery, with a focus on vulnerable families and aged care. She has worked in senior positions in the community and government sector. Prior to her role with QUT, she was the CEO at of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service in Brisbane – the biggest Aboriginal community-controlled health organisation in Queensland. She established ATSICHS as a nationally registered early childhood education, housing and NDIS provider. She is currently a member of the Australian Government’s National Aged Care Advisory Group. She is currently a Non Executive Director on the Brisbane North Primary Health Care Network, TAFE Queensland, and Hearing Australia boards.
