As Secretary of the VIC Department of Health, Professor Euan Wallace AM brings over three decades of expertise in clinical practice and research alongside 15 years in governance. With an academic background in obstetrics and gynecology, Euan is a passionate advocate for improving healthcare and amplifying the consumer voice.

Euan served as the inaugural CEO of Safer Care Victoria and was seconded to the Department of Health and Human Services as Deputy Secretary in July 2020, where he was jointly responsible for contract tracing and outbreak management. He also held the position of Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Monash University, where his research interests included fetal development, maternal health, and patient safety.
