A driving force in Canada's health care system, David O’Toole is President and CEO of the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) where he spearheads health data and information priorities in collaboration with federal, provincial, and territorial governments.

David has led CIHI since 2014, following a notable career in Ontario's public service where he held several Deputy Minister positions in Natural Resources, Transportation, and the Cabinet Office. David’s expertise extends to his work with Queen’s University where he was previously Chair of the Centre for Health Innovation and currently works as an adjunct professor in the School of Policy Studies.
