Lois Jenkins is Assistant Director of Nursing, Community Care Reform at the Tasmanian Department of Health.

Lois is a Registered Nurse with 30+ years of experience in health and aged care in both the UK and Australia. Lois draws on ten years of operational experience as Director of Care of a large, rural residential aged care facility and community aged care/primary health services. Lois has also worked in senior aged care policy positions in both the Australian Department of Health and Aged Care and the Tasmanian State Government.

Lois has a deep strategic knowledge and understanding of the broad aged and community care sector policy environment, including the current Royal Commission Reform Agenda, and has a keen interest in how human service pricing systems and processes impact on the quality, accessibility, and value of healthcare.
